First off Awesome board from what I have seen. I came here through a search for improving the performance or lack there of lol, for some Sylvania SYNET7LP-DS that I bought for my kids a couple years ago that ended up in the back of a closet.

Haven't decided which tablet to get for myself yet but after completing my Media PC/home server' ish rig build
(z77 Sabertooth w/unlocked I5, 120GB SSD OS drive & 32 GB ram in a Cosmos II Ultra tower and 2 WD Green 2TB drives to break it in along with 4 2TB Fantom Green drives that have housed my media thus far that is sitting in the shipping boxes.

I will definitely be looking at a tablet of some sort soon.

Currently running 4.0.4 on two Galaxy S II's with custom ROMs awaiting eligibility for the Galaxy S IV.

I LOVE ME MY DROIDS. CURRENTLY USING HTC DROID DNA RUNNING VENOM VIPER ROM 1.1.3 WITH BEASTMODE KERNEL. VIPER VENOM ROM IS THE BEST MOST BAD blank ROM I HAVE EVER USED ON ANYTHING I HAVE MODDED AND THATS OVER 30 DEVICES. (A7 ELOCITY TAB IS MY SONS TRYING MY BUTT TO FIND A WORKING ROM!!)

I HAVE EVERYTHING ROOTED. AFTER I BUY IT THE ONLY THING I DO FIRST IS FULLY CHARGE TO BATTERY!!! HAD A BIG WHOOPS ONCE DUE TO NOT HAVING ENOUGH JUICE!! AFTER FULL CHARGE UNTO ROOTING!

Searched the net and was informed that I would have to either do some soldering or take device to service centre. Device not recognised by any app at all--Flat dead Gone!!

I am pleased to announce that 2 days ago I succeeded with devices rebirth and installed an Android version 4.1.1/ rooted.

Picked up 2 MID8850s for very little money, both broken.
I've fixed one (hardware fault) but the other freezes part way through booting. I'm looking for tips on how to find & install the correct firmware.

Someone gave me a "remanufactured" 7" PanImage R79RT2W5 that they didn't want and I'm seeking out info on how to make it useful. As-is, it's pretty horrific. More like an inefficient paperweight than an electronic device. I'm pretty new to the modding arena, so in my ignorance I only really have one question for the community. Can I wipe this doorstop clean and put something fun and/or useful on it, or is it going in the trash?

I found this site after looking up the superpad3, turns out i have a clone and need help.
I am a noob where androids are concerned, so any help or advice will be greatfully received.
Although the android i have works its only 2.3, or a 2.3 look alike/wannabe. I would idealy like to upgrade it to as close to 4.0 as pos, but somehow doubt it can be done. I have seen on ebay that some are selling them with jellybean but i doubt its the genuine article judging by mine.

I am old/new here. I first found out about this place through Slatedroid and other postings throughout the Android community.
I currently own the Pandigital Supernova and Vizio Vtab both not rooted. I originally became interested in rooting and modding via my first smartphone (Droid1) and have continued exploring and expanding my knowledge with my current phone Droid 3.
I come here in hopes of learning and acquiring knowledge about rooting my 2 tablets and if along the way offer advice or gain advice to like minded people searching for answers.
