I've been working with computers of all kinds since the old Atari days, and currently work in the IT biz (system and database administration) on everything from desktops to the BIG BLUE hardware, but I am just getting into Android.  I've worked with several different flavors of Unix/Linux over the years, and DOS/Windows as it grew up.

Right now I'm just starting to play with a (very) cheap Visual Land Prestige/PRO7G/Prestige-7G:4.1.1/JRO03C/20130731.V006:user/release-keys

and am learning LOTS from basically making it unoperable, to barely working

Hopefully I can get some of this soaked up soon and move on to some more advanced stuff!

Hello group!  I have a Maylong t200 of which I can find only limited info about online.  Looking to find a way to make this little tablet be the best little tablet it can be.

I only use a LG mobile phone with Android!

Mister Scott here!  I joined the forum in January of 2012 after purchasing a few basic Panimage tablets for the family.  My main reason for joining was to learn more about the Android platform and, also, to find fixes for the tablets I had bought since it ran slow, couldn't access the Google app market, etc.  

Most of the above problems were corrected after gaining insight from Tipstir and the other forum members.  And, after realizing this tablet's limitations, we later upgraded to some better devices.  But, we still have the old Panimage tablets and I still enjoy using it from time to time when one of my other devices needs to recharge.

In sum, this is a great place to find help and upgrades for your Android device and, also, to learn more about the Android operating system.

I found ATZ when I was smokin' some dope
with these black-screen ROM flashes breakin' my hope.
I have a totally vanilla-looking Flytouch Gome
spittin crazy fuckin' lyrics from the top of my dome.
I coulda said "wutz up" and then just waltzed on out
but lemme tell you mutha fuckas what I'm rappin' about.
Some hillbilly came and said "This tablet no work"
so I thought I'd try and fix it 'stead of bein' a jerk.
First thing I noticed: it had too few volts.
Somebody got the cord from Goodwill like an untrained dolt.
Then I tried some hacks that couldn't flash my NAND,
but that didn't make me feel like less of a man.
I stay below reproach, lettin' God be my coach...
I hope He doesn't mind that I'm smokin' this roach.
Well, it seems I'm on track with version 2.1
I got a few to install, but still the job ain't done.
It might be that I need to find a touchscreen driver
but I know I'll get it workin' 'cuz I learned from McGyver.

Hey just stummbled upon this site. looking to learn about an coby kyros mid 7005 and it's capabilities etc.
 want to update has 2.1 on it wondering if there is a newer update etc.

still using windows xp on my pc. 

Purchased the coby in the states currently living in Uruguay

I have a very Old EPAD and do not have USB adapter, and is rooted with 2.0.88,  i am unable to calibrate the Touch screen as not able to unlock the screen. Is there any way to unlock the screen and do the calibration. But one point of time i was able to unlock but the calibration failed. But again device screen got locked.

Hello. United States. Own a Pandigital tablet, black, model PD_Novel, Firmware version: SQ20_20110105_B_PD_INX7E_ENG_6410POP. Build number: PD-Novel. I don't think it is rooted, but have read somewhere that if it had the three icons: back arrow, home, etc. that will be on the top right is there then it is rooted. But, I have tried to do a couple of things and it came up that it needed to be rooted to work. I can't get YouTube or Facebook to work on it. Would just love to have Google Play Store on it, if I could. I came to this site hoping to find some instructions on how to get some or all of these things done and working on this Pandigital tablet.

It is a pretty neat little phone does what i need it for i don't really like following the crowd like riding my own lane. just wanted you to know that,with the info myou gave me I my self turned my pandigital into a full android with app market!  And I now own a nook hd tablet!   Buut could really use help with the fire demo model!  I'm not computer savvy but I did it last time!    My kids couldn't believe a 50 year old could do iT!  Yaeah me.

I'm an old user. I found an old tablet while moving that is a Maylong M150. I had put an MDX version on it years ago, but looks like it needs to be reset or upgraded to something new, as it just stays on the android screen. I can't find where the original script file is on my old laptop. I'm just trying to get it working so my little nephew can play with. I have several Apple products and Samsung smartphone and Galaxy tablets, which are too expensive for a small child to play with.
